Alrowwad Media Club for Girls is conducting a tour in Ramallah

17-8-2018 Alrowwad Cultural and Arts Society, in cooperation with the Directorate of Education and Higher Education and the culture Directorate in Bethlehem on Thursday, a media tour of the Media Girls Club to Ramallah, with the participation of more than 28 female students from schools in the province of Bethlehem.


The tour opened with a press conference in the office of the Ministry of Information in Ramallah in the presence of Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information Dr. Fayez Abu Attia, who welcomed the idea of ​​the media club and gave the students the card “friend of the Ministry of Information ” as a precedent at the level of the country to become girl’s informants and ambassadors of their schools.


The media club visited the Palestinian Radio and Television Corporation during a visit to news studios, programs and practical training in a studio for the children’s program on how to run studios and provide television programs and filming them. The media club visited the official news agency WAFA and met with the news director, representing the editor-in-chief, Kholoud Assaf. The participants were briefed on the sections of the news agency and how it works.


The tour concluded with a visit to the Journalists Syndicate and a meeting with the Secretary General of the Media Syndicate Musa Al-Shaer, who explained to the participants the mechanisms of the union’s work and the rights of journalists and gave them an opportunity to participate in a professional safety course offered by the union to journalists working in the press field.


The tour of the media club in Ramallah is part of the training program for girls to learn more about the media work and how to access and work in the media.
